Jon Bushnell is a director at Carl Marks Advisors. He has more than 12 years of capital markets experience, including operational performance improvement, merger and acquisition transactions, capital raising, restructurings, strategic planning, and valuations. Mr. Bushnell has worked with clients across a wide range of industries, including real estate, consumer products, oil and gas, manufacturing, business services, for-profit and non-profit education, and food and healthcare.
Mr. Bushnell specializes in providing analytical advisory services in a variety of engagements and working with company management to develop and implement business plans that create profitable growth and increase enterprise value. He has served as a court-appointed receiver for real estate projects throughout the Southeast. In addition, Mr. Bushnell recently completed successful operational and financial restructurings in the fracking industry for Environmental Drilling Solutions, as well as clients in the higher education sector.
Prior to joining Carl Mark Advisors, Mr. Bushnell worked with real estate companies in all phases of development and operations, advising on strategic and financial issues impacting management decision-making. He has provided counsel to clients on transactions involving the acquisition and disposition of operating companies, as well as major portfolios of real estate assets. Recently, he has been advising a foreign bank on its U.S. portfolio of 52 properties, including hotels, apartments, healthcare facilities, residential developments, and golf course communities.
Mr. Bushnell holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross. He is also a licensed real estate appraiser. He is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Representative.
