Marc Pfefferle is a recognized leader in financial and operational restructuring. He has a strong track record that includes increasing enterprise value through strategic repositioning, business portfolio adjustment, structural improvement, increasing efficiency through cost reduction, and revenue enhancement. Mr. Pfefferle brings more than 30 years of experience working with hundreds of clients. He has served in roles including CEO, CRO, or equivalent leadership positions at 14 companies, competing in a variety of industrial, service, consumer, and retail market segments. In addition, he has served as lead restructuring advisor, independent director, and chairman.

Mr. Pfefferle specializes in advising companies experiencing periods of transition or facing excessive debt. He is skilled in the implementation of business improvement and change programs, both in and out of court. Mr. Pfefferle is a hands-on, strategically focused leader with a strong ability to motivate, develop, and drive management teams to achieve maximize performance. He works closely and effectively with company owners, management teams, boards of directors, and private equity groups, as well as lenders and other stakeholders across the capital structure. 

Mr. Pfefferle was recognized in the 2014 Atlas Turnaround Awards as one of the top 100 global restructuring professionals. His recent noteworthy engagements include serving as CEO of a leading radiopharmaceutical company; restructuring advisor to a global camera case company; restructuring advisor to Same Day Courier Service; advisor to the lenders in the restructuring of Physiotherapy; advisor to the senior lenders to RG Steel; restructuring advisor to Monitor Group in its sale to Deloitte; and restructuring advisor to Direct Buy Holdings.

Prior to joining Carl Marks, Mr. Pfefferle was a Partner with Marigold Associates, a strategic management consulting firm serving Fortune 100 companies. Previously, he was a Consulting Manager for Price Waterhouse LLP.

Mr. Pfefferle holds a BS in Engineering, an MBA from Lehigh University and serves on the board of Precision Combustion.
