Carl Marks Advisory Group Announces Multiple Promotions for Investment Banking Team
NEW YORK – February 4, 2014 – Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC, a leading consulting and investment banking advisor to middle market companies, announced today it has promoted four professionals within its Investment banking team. Below are the following promotions:
• Michael Flynn – Managing Director, 38
• Scott Webb – Director, 30
• Michael Grant – Associate, 28
• Peter Hoffman – Associate, 25

Mr. Flynn, 38, specializes in financial advisory services in a variety of engagements, including bankruptcies, workouts, loan restructurings, due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions. He serves as an advisor to both public and private corporations regarding financial restructuring and investment banking. His experience includes assisting distressed companies with day-to-day forecasting activities, including development of pro forma financials, cash flow management, and identification of liquidity enhancing activities. Mr. Flynn holds a BS in Biology from Boston College and an MBA from Boston University. He holds Series 7 and 63 securities registrations and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
Mr. Webb, 30, specializes in financial restructuring and investment banking, primarily responsible for debt and equity capital raise and M&A advisory services across a wide range of industries. His experience includes advising on numerous financial restructurings, including out-of-court and in-court 363 sales and internal reorganizations, as well as capital raises and mergers and acquisitions assignments. Mr. Webb graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in Business Administration. He holds Series 7, 63, and 79 securities registrations and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Mr. Grant, 28, specializes in financial restructuring and is primarily responsible for evaluating and developing strategic business plans and financial models for debtors and creditors. His experience includes providing financial analysis regarding alternatives and turnaround scenarios for under-performing companies and their stakeholders in a variety of industries. Mr. Grant graduated from The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a BS in Finance. He holds his Series 7 and Series 63 securities registrations. Mr. Grant is member of the Turnaround Management Association and sits on the Executive Board of Silver Lining Society.
Mr. Hoffman, 25, specializes in financial restructuring and investment banking, primarily responsible for advising debtors and creditors in troubled financial situations. His experience includes advising on a variety of engagements, including workouts, loan restructurings, due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hoffman graduated from Babson College with a BS in both Finance and Strategic Management. He holds Series 7, 63 and 79 securities registrations, and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association NextGen and New York Institute of Credit Future Leaders.
