Brian Shanly serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Carl Marks & Co. In this role, he oversees the financial functions of Carl Marks’ private investment firm, family office, and select Carl Marks-sponsored business groups.

Mr. Shanly has held senior leadership positions including co-CFO and CCO at Perry Capital, a New York based international hedge fund manager; CFO for an International UHNW family office; and co-founder of a boutique consulting firm that provided advisory and CFO/COO services to investment managers and family offices. He began his career at PwC as an auditor.

Mr. Shanly received an MBA in Economics and Finance from New York University, a BS in Accounting from Le Moyne College and is a New York State Certified Public Accountant.
