David Bagley

David Bagley has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, operations management, and profit improvement consulting. He has been recognized nationally for helping client companies, having won the “Turnaround of the Year” award from the Turnaround Management Association. Mr. Bagley’s work is focused on identification of strategic opportunities, creation of business plans, and operations management; the latter includes: overall operations supervision, profit improvement, creation and tracking of performance metrics, and business development.

He has advised, restructured and conducted assessments for a variety of companies, including hospitality and restaurant industry companies. Throughout his career, Mr. Bagley has served as CFO, COO and CEO for various clients as part of his engagements.

Highlights of his experience include:

  • Conducted a comprehensive assessment and created a restructuring plan for the largest privately held assisted living health care group in Midwest.  $50 million of debt was restructured and a comprehensive reporting structure was developed for bank and investor oversight as the company diversified its holdings as part of the restructuring plan.
  • Conducted an assessment of a $30 million restaurant group (including video gaming facilities) and developed a restructuring process. Dealt with startup regulatory issues and negotiations with restaurant franchisor as part of the turnaround effort.
  • Developed business and implementation plan to take a $65 million specialty giftware wholesaler, losing $3 million a year, to a $40 million company making $2 million annually. Worked closely with management, ownership and the bank to workout financing and timing to enable company to make the transition in six months.

Mr. Bagley earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.
