David F. Shnitkin is Corporate Controller of Carl Marks & Co. Inc., Carl Marks & Co. LP and CM Equity Partners II LP. He has been affiliated with the firm since 1987.

Prior to joining Carl Marks, Mr. Shnitkin spent seven years with the New York accounting firm Berdon LLP, where he served in the firm’s corporate audit and tax department.

Mr. Shnitkin received a BS in Accounting, cum laude, from The State University of New York at Albany. He is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
